Every Fourth of July, there is one event that reminds us just how special it is to call Fairfield, Connecticut home. Families gather with lawn chairs and blankets, children run through the fields with excitement, friends reconnect, and as the sun sets, thousands of eyes turn toward the sky in anticipation.

The 2026 Fairfield Fireworks were more than just an incredible display of color and light—they were a celebration of community, tradition, and togetherness.

As the official photographer for this year's event, I had the privilege of documenting not only the spectacular fireworks but also the countless moments happening before the first shell ever lit up the sky.

A Celebration of Community

One of my favorite parts of photographing community events is capturing the moments people don't always notice.

Photographing More Than Fireworks

While the fireworks themselves are spectacular, my goal has always been to document the complete experience.

Photography is about preserving emotion.

It's about freezing moments that become part of a family's history.

Every smile, every embrace, every laugh contributes to the story of our community.

Being trusted to photograph an event of this scale is something I never take for granted, and I am incredibly thankful to the Town of Fairfield and Fairfield Parks & Recreation for the opportunity.

Fairfield Is More Than a Town

After photographing families, weddings, nonprofit events, community celebrations, and local businesses throughout Fairfield County for many years, I've come to appreciate something unique about this town.

People genuinely care about one another.

Events like the Fairfield Fireworks remind us that despite our busy lives, we all benefit from taking time to gather, celebrate, and create memories together.

That sense of community is one of the reasons I love calling Fairfield home and why I enjoy documenting these special occasions.
